The spirit of God is speaking. If we don’t repent, the judgment of God is coming. It will be a breath taker. Those in power have abused their power. They have done their own thing. Instead of hearing the voice of God, they’ve heard the voice of man. Those in power have twisted the law. Matthew 23:4: “For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.” Both Democrats and Republicans have lied, there’s corruption on both ends. Our election is coming up. We need to hear from God on this matter. The God that judged Pharaoh will judge us too.

Jesus is the answer to the problem, if you don’t follow his law you’ll be going around in circles. You could ask the children of Israel about the 40 years in the wilderness.

Does God give us his spirit? Does he not direct our path? Did he make a covenant with Abraham in Genesis 12:3? “I will bless those that bless you, and curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the Earth shall be blessed.” Should we as Christians choose a president that supports Israel? Obama says one thing, but his actions say another. Iran is not far from having nuclear weapons and they will use them on the United States and Israel. You can bank on it.

On TV news, you have war against women. Let’s turn this around. It’s really the war against children. Jeremiah 1:5: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I sanctified you, and I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”

We live in a ‘me society’. “My four and no more.” In this life there are givers and takers. Our nation is in debt, a debt that will destroy this country. Those in power are those who are stealing from ‘we the people’. There are truly people that need our help and we should help them. On the other hand, my Dad used to say “They belong to I.W.W., “I Won’t Work”. Some of these know every free giveaway. They abuse the system.

Abuse of power. This is about our rights as human beings to be treated fairly. Times are changing in this nation. The day is coming when it will be a one-world government. It’s not some fairy tale, it’s for real, the dark side of government. The media has turned its back on the truth. Some things are left in the dark. God knows this isn’t some made up story. It’s the truth. I pray we speak up while we still can.

The founders of this country came from many different religious backgrounds.  Many of them were familiar with historical and contemporary conflicts and wars arising from the religious differences of competing groups of people (and interests) trying to establish their own ideology as dominant (if not exclusive). They knew of the conflicts inherent in different ideologies and composed the first amendment to preserve the very basic right for individuals to choose a system of beliefs without being persecuted for it.  They also went so far as to say that, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof ...." which gave a boundary between church and state.

Some think that keeping an idea of God, even a very limited one, in government and in publicly funded schools is hypocritical because it seems to bridge the borders established between church and state. However, others would suggest that acknowledging God would help reinforce the idea that the country is a nation under an omnipotent God (and none other), and therefore subject to the basic laws and commandments divinely handed down to man at some point in history. But where is this separation of church and state when any particular group of officials can use governmental powers and regulations to directly or indirectly subvert religious values of individuals? That seems to be a violation of state and church. Instead of religion encroaching on the State, the State is encroaching on religion. I wrote a poem just four nights ago that expresses my feelings best:

Your laws ignore our deepest needs, your words are empty air.

You've stripped away our heritage, you've outlawed simple prayer.

Now gunshots fill our classrooms, and precious children die.

You seek for answers everywhere, and ask the question "Why?"

You regulate restrictive laws, through legislative creed.

And yet you fail to understand, that God is what we need!

"Men and women are three-part beings. We all consist of body, mind, and spirit. When we refuse to acknowledge a third part of our make-up, we create a void that allows evil, prejudice, and hatred to rush in and wreak havoc. Spiritual presences were present within our educational systems for most of our nation's history. Many of our major colleges began as theological seminaries. This is a historical fact. What has happened to us as a nation? We have refused to honor God, and in so doing, we open the doors to hatred and violence.

There is an article being sent around by email that addresses how the government is violating the moral principles of business owners through business regulations.  The owner of the Hobby Lobby chain has been placed in such a situation. He firmly believes that it is a violation of his morals to fund abortions to any degree, and so he has challenged government mandates that have placed him in such a situation.  Unfortunately, the judge ruled against him.

LETTER FROM OWNER OF HOBBY LOBBY

When my family and I started our company 40 years ago, we were working out of a garage on a $600 bank loan, assembling miniature picture frames.  Our first retail store wasn't much bigger than most people's living rooms, but we had faith that we would succeed if we lived and worked according to God's word.  From there, Hobby Lobby has become one of the nation's largest arts and crafts retailers, with more than 500 locations in 41 states.  Our children grew up into fine business leaders, and today we run Hobby Lobby together, as a family.

We're Christians, and we run our business on Christian principles.  I've always said that the first two goals of our business are (1) to run our business in harmony with God's laws, and (2) to focus on people more than money. And that's what we've tried to do. We close early so our employees can see their families at night. We keep our stores closed on Sundays, one of the week's biggest shopping days, so that our workers and their families can enjoy a day of rest. We believe that it is by God's grace that Hobby Lobby has endured, and he has blessed us and our employees. We've not only added jobs in a weak economy, we've raised wages for the past four years in a row. Our full-time employees start at 80% above minimum wage.

But now, our government threatens to change all of that. A new government healthcare mandate says that our family business must provide what I believe are abortion-causing drugs as part of our health insurance. Being Christians, we don't pay for drugs that might cause abortions. Which means that we don't cover emergency contraception, the morning-after pill or the week-after pill.  We believe doing so might end a life after the moment of conception, something that is contrary to our most important beliefs. It goes against the Biblical principles on which we have run this company since day one. If we refuse to comply, we could face $1.3 million per day in government fines.

Our government threatens to fine job creators in a bad economy. Our government threatens to fine a company that's raised wages four years running. Our government threatens to fine a family for running its business according to its beliefs. It's not right.

I know people will say we ought to follow the rules; that it's the same for everybody. But that's not true. The government has exempted thousands of companies from this mandate, for reasons of convenience or cost. But it won't exempt them for reasons of religious belief. So, Hobby Lobby — and my family — are forced to make a choice. With great reluctance, we filed a lawsuit today, represented by the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, asking a federal court to stop this mandate before it hurts our business. We don't like to go running into court, but we no longer have a choice. We believe people are more important than the bottom line and that honoring God is more important than turning a profit.

My family has lived the American dream. We want to continue growing our company and providing great jobs for thousands of employees, but the government is going to make that much more difficult. The government is forcing us to choose between following our faith and following the law. I say that's a choice no American — and no American business — should have to make.

 - David Green (CEO and founder of Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc.)

The following excerpt is a follow-up from Fox News:

The chain's appeal states in part that Chief Executive Officer David Green his family in less than six weeks “must either violate their faith by covering abortion-causing drugs or be exposed to severe penalties -- including fines of up to $1.3 million per day, annual penalties of about $26 million and exposure to private suits.”

The Oklahoma City-based company and a sister company, Mardel, sued the government in September, claiming the mandate violates the owners' religious beliefs. The owners contend the morning-after and week-after birth control pills are tantamount to abortion because they can prevent a fertilized egg from implanting in a woman's womb. They also object to providing coverage for certain kinds of intrauterine devices.

The decision was made by U.S. District Judge Joe Heaton, in a 28-page ruling.

At a hearing earlier this month, a government lawyer said the drugs do not cause abortions and that the U.S. has a compelling interest in mandating insurance coverage for them.

In his ruling, Heaton said churches and other religious organizations have been granted constitutional protection from the birth-control provisions, but Hobby Lobby and Mardel “are not religious organizations."

"Plaintiffs have not cited, and the court has not found, any case concluding that secular, for-profit corporations such as Hobby Lobby and Mardel have a constitutional right to the free exercise of religion," the ruling also stated.

This email message being sent over the internet is a link to a broadcast made by Paul Harvey around 1965. Even at that time there was a sense that society was vulnerable to subtle corruptions in morality....

This was 47 years ago. April 3, 1965. An amazing prediction.

Millions of Americans listened to his programs which were broadcast over 1,200 radio stations nationwide.

When you listen to this, remember the commentary was broadcast 47 years ago on April 3, 1965.

It's short...less than three minutes. You will be amazed.
